David Cake is a graduate student and a digital rights activist, and was a developer and system administrator in a former life. He is currently the Chair of Electronic Frontiers Australia, and a Vice-Chair of ICANNs GNSO Council, and a regular participant in global Internet governance processes. He was previously a part of the ICANN Security, Stability and Resiliency Review Team, looking at the security of the global DNS system. His special interests include internet security infrastructure and privacy and freedom of expression rights. His graduate studies are looking at global Internet governance in the Internet Studies department at Curtin University.
