Central Institute of Technology
Green Skills Training Centre
140 Royal Street
The Green Skills Training Centre is a separate building behind the main Central Institute of Technology complex. It’s visible from the road. (Rectangular building in the middle).
Doors open from 7.30am. Registration is from 7.30am to 8.30am on Thursday and from 7.30am to 8.45am on Friday.
Parking & Travel
Unless you’re arriving well before 9am, you are unlikely to find parking in the adjacent Royal Street Car Park. There’s a parking station a couple of blocks away on the corner of Royal and Plain Streets.
Alternatively, there are excellent public transport options. The Claisebrook train station is adjacent and to the north of the building (Midland/Armadale lines). And the Yellow CAT Bus stops right outside. There are bike racks!
Your ticket includes lunch and a coffee/tea voucher. The coffee van is right adjacent. There is a vegetarian lunch option but no gluten-free option. There is a coffee shop in the main eCentral building and there are plenty of coffee shops and restaurants within a couple of blocks of the venue.
There is a Sundowner on Thursday starting at about 6.15pm at The Royal (a few blocks west of the venue on Royal Street). Many of the speakers will be there. You’ll need your lanyard for access. This is not a sponsored event so you’ll be buying your own Gin & Tonics.
The closing party is on Friday from around 5.30pm til 8pm and we’ll be putting on some drinks and some finger food. Again, you’ll need your lanyard for access.
